MassMutual Long Island Metro Disability Awareness Night at Citi Field


Syosset, N.Y. – MassMutual Long Island Metro will be having our 10th Disability Awareness Night at Citi Field on Monday, August 6, 2018. This is a fun-filled night where individuals and organizations come together to raise awareness and support children and adults in the special needs community. There are several ticket options available for purchase. All proceeds will go to Anchor ⚓️Program Fund, Inc.– a program designed to aid children and adults with disabilities. 

Each ticket package includes access to our tailgate party from 5-7 PM in Parking Lot F, along with a meal and access to the Mets game at 7 PM. Photos of last year’s event can be found on MassMutual Long Island Metro’s Facebook page

About Camp Anchor ⚓️Program Fund

ANCHOR (Answering the Needs of Citizens with Handicaps Through Organized Recreation) ⚓️Program Fund, Inc. is a year-round recreation program operated by the town of Hempstead, acting through department of parks and recreation. 

The program is dedicated to children and adults with special needs who reside in the town of Hempstead. The town of Hempstead’s Camp Anchor Program provides programs after school and on Saturdays in various locations throughout the township during the fall, winter, and spring. A comprehensive six-week summer camp located in Lido Beach is also offered to the town’s special needs population. 

The ANCHOR ⚓️Program Fund, Inc. is run by Acting Coordinator, Mary Ann Hanson. There are also 2 very dedicated camp directors. Jeff Smith, Senior Camp Director, who has been at Anchor since the very first day in 1968 and Sandy Braun, Junior Camp Director who has been with Anchor since 1973!
